Stayed in a private room in this hostel and it was great, really nice clean room. The shared facilities were also very clean and the kitchen was never too busy. Location is right on the esplanade and close to lots of good food places and shops. The staff are super friendly and met some great people at this hostel. Would definitely recommend staying here while in Cairns!

Great hostel in the heart of the Cairns Esplanade. Perfect location to walk to shops, restaurants, the marina for boat trips, the lagoon or just enjoy the Esplanade. Really friendly and helpful staff and the hostel is kept super clean. Free wine and cheese night and free pancakes everyday is awesome. I would really recommend this hostel if you’re stopping by in Cairns :)

This hostel was an amazing stay! 10/10 for location, cleanliness, social vibe, staff and ease of check in/out. The location and friendly vibe of the hostel is what really makes it stand out, all for a competitive and affordable price. You really can't go wrong staying here and I would happily stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

The hostel is in a great location, right on the waterfront and the heart of the town where everything is going on. The bathrooms, dorm, and kitchen was kept clean the whole time I was there. Free breakfast was a nice touch and not something you get in most places in Aus. It’s also a sociable and has a good kitchen and common area which make it easy to talk to people.

There are three mad monkeys to stay at in cairns and this one was the perfect stay for me. It’s quiet and relaxing but also close to the evening entertainment on the esplanade. The rooms were kept clean and the lounge room was great for watching films and reading.

Absolutely awesome :) great location and friendly staff. Usually very clean and great kitchen facilities open 24/7. Pancakes for breakfast tasted amazing :) i have been staying here for months and would always come back here because its not too big like gillies and it feels more like family
